Light Intensity (PAR)

Light intensity (PAR) refers to the amount of photosynthetically active radiation (PAR) available to plants for photosynthesis. PAR is the range of light wavelengths (400700 nanometers) that plants use to convert light energy into chemical energy. Measuring light intensity helps growers optimize the amount of light plants receive to promote healthy growth, especially in indoor growing environments where artificial lighting is used.
