Callusing

Callusing refers to the process in which a plant forms a protective layer of tissue, known as callus, over a wound or cut. This process is especially important in grafting and plant propagation, where callus tissue helps unite the scion and rootstock or aids in the rooting of cuttings. Callusing promotes healing and prevents pathogens from entering the plant, increasing the chances of successful propagation.
