French Drain

A French drain is a trench filled with gravel or rock and containing a perforated pipe that redirects surface water or groundwater away from an area. French drains are commonly used to prevent water buildup in low-lying areas, basements, or around foundations. The system allows water to flow into the trench and then into the pipe, which carries it away from the problem area, helping to prevent flooding, erosion, or water damage.
